You are welcome to park in the east side of the lot next to our building against the corrugated steel wall. There is street parking available on 41st and 42nd Ave S and in the surrounding neighborhood. There is 2 hour parking in front of the studio.
We accept cash, all major cards as well as Google and Apple Pay.
Minors are not allowed in the studio unless they are scheduled for a piercing appointment and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Tattoos are priced individually based on a combination of factors including size, placement, color, and design.
Once we have established the scope of your project, we will provide a price range. Exact price of your appointment will be within the quoted range and determined at the end of your tattoo appointment.
For larger projects, artists charge $200 hourly.
The studio minimum is $150.
It is dependent on the scar or mole.
Scars must be a minimum of one year old. Occasionally we want to wait longer depending on the scar. You will always be able to see the difference in skin texture but the scar may be masked by the tattoo. With scar tissue, there is a higher chance that ink will not stay well and that area could heal a bit lighter. Because of this, we do not offer complimentary touch ups on tattoos over scar tissue.
We refrain from tattooing over moles as it makes it difficult to monitor any changes in the mole itself but we can tattoo around the area.
This depends on the type of appointment we’re booking.
For a consultation deposit, we take a refundable deposit of $50-100 depending on the consultation length.
This is the only refundable deposit at Leviticus.
If you decide not to move forward with the project or if you cancel over 48 hours prior to your consultation appointment, we can refund your consultation deposit. When you schedule a tattoo appointment after your consultation this deposit becomes non-refundable.
For tattoo appointments, we require a $100 – $250 deposit depending on appointment length.
This deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable, and will be applied to your last appointment.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Less than 48 hours notice or not showing up for your scheduled appointment will result in your deposit being forfeit to your artist for lost time.
Minnesota state law prohibits tattooing anyone under 18 regardless of parental consent. If you are 18 or older, the state requires a valid, government issued ID to be presented at each tattoo appointment.
Some of our artists are okay with clients using numbing cream, and some are not. Numbing cream (lidocaine) changes the texture of the skin and can affect the tattoo process, which can lead to potential issues with the tattoo once it’s healed. Always check with the artist ahead of time to see if they are okay with numbing cream use. In general, we recommend not using numbing cream except in rare cases.
We use single use, sterile needles or cartridges for every tattoo. The tubes, which hold the needle inside of the machine, are first put in an ultrasonic to aid in removing the ink then, scrubbed, then packaged individually and put into an autoclave. We use a Tuttenhauer EZ11 to heat the tubes to 240 degrees for 30 minutes. This sterilizes them inside of a package that can be opened when the artists is setting their station up for each client. The station and all the equipment that can not be autoclaved is sanitized with Opti-Cide 3 which is the same disinfectant used in hospitals and dentist offices.
We offer complimentary touch ups for tattoos within six months of your last session for that project. We do not offer complimentary touch ups on areas that are more prone to ink falling out due to placement such as hands, feet, inner lips. We do not offer complimentary touch ups on tattoos over scar tissue.
If you are planning to get another tattoo by the same artist in the near future, we encourage you to wait until your next appointment and combine the two.
Touch ups required due to improper aftercare are not complimentary.
Ink brands vary among different artists and are not regulated by the FDA. All artists at Leviticus use ink from reputable companies, however, it is not required the ingredients listed on the bottle.
Black ink is composed of glycerine and charcoal and has the least amount of reaction in sensitive skin. Colored ink can contain trace amounts of heavy metals with red and yellow pigment having the highest frequency of skin irritation.
All of the ink used at Leviticus is vegan.
We have a 48 hour reschedule/cancellation policy.
The more notice you’re able to provide, the better so we’re able to fill the artists time.
To cancel or reschedule, you must call or text the studio over 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment during working hours. Less than 48 hours notice will result in your deposit being forfeit to the artist for lost time.
We take walk-ins for tattoos on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-8pm on a first come, first served basis. Walk-in’s are usually palm sized or smaller. We typically refrain from tattooing face, neck, or hands on a walk in basis. You may bring a custom idea or ask about seeing artists’ flash designs when you’re in the studio. It’s most time efficient to submit your walk in consultation form through our website ahead of time and arrive at the studio when we open at 12pm.
